I can remember when the first computers were coming into homes — and I was fascinated. I quickly became the kid in the neighborhood that everyone called for help. That never really stopped.

Through college and beyond, I had a side hustle building software for small businesses. It was the work I was most passionate about — sitting across from an owner, understanding their problem, and building something that actually solved it.

Then my software career took off. I spent the bulk of my time in logistics and supply chain. At one point I could confidently say that myself or my teams wrote software that helped you get something you were buying. From there I jumped into fintech, where I worked my way up to product group head — a 50-60 person organization and a product with $5 trillion in assets under management.

Along the way I've been an architect, team lead, project manager, product owner, technical program manager — each role earning me the opportunity for the next. But as much as I enjoyed the work, something was missing. That personal connection. The relationship you build when you're working directly with a business owner who cares deeply about what they've built.

And now AI has changed everything.
