I have run engineering delivery at scale, and I still design and build the systems. I can ship the thing myself and establish the delivery discipline your team needs to keep shipping.
Why that matters to your project
Whether the starting point is a workflow crossing systems, a stalled prototype, or an AI initiative that needs an owner, production depends on architecture, data, integration, controls, deployment, ownership, and measurement. Somebody has to make the call about how the system should work, and somebody has to drive it to done through the unglamorous middle.

The arc
UPS operations, on the floor, where late is a real thing that happens to real trucks. Then two software engineer roles building the systems behind that work: warehouse automation and fulfillment, then shipping and identity software. Production taught me the only way it teaches anyone, by making me the one who had to get it working and keep it there.
Then I moved into leading. First as a lead owning the internal platform a product line shipped on, and the identity and single sign on architecture under it. Then modernizing a financial planning platform across three Agile teams, onshore and offshore. Then a 50 engineer organization across three continents, inherited late and turned into a release train: 13 consecutive on time releases, defects cut by more than half.
Every one of those was the same job wearing a different hat. Get the thing out the door, on the day, working.
Today I am hands on in production AI. An AI receptionist answering T2C's own phone. The automation behind Yardigans. A multi agent prospecting pipeline in production. Same job.
